Studio photography can conjure up ideas of forced smiles, harsh lighting, and cheesy set-ups. For this reason, many families have turned to outdoor sessions in recent years. There are some notable challenges when you are photographing tiny people however. The weather is often uncooperative and often at the last minute. The light tends to be optimal during the time of day that little people are not at their best.
I strive to replicate natural window light in my studio whatever time of day works best for you and your little people. I don't pose newborns or use elaborate sets. When the background is minimized the focus is on you and your child. The result is a natural, candid image that will stand the test of time. I want you to be able to hang portraits taken years apart side by side on your wall, no matter your decor and no matter what is trending at a given time.
